What is a good College Essay topic to write about that both I can write successfully and colleges will approve?

Title says all... Im a good student 3.9, 4.0 GPA... I like video games, like with a passion not about playing them but about creating them, I am fasinated by 3D, the art world I really enjoy. Im not sure what I could write about, my mom has been pressuring me all summer to do it and now is really harping on me doing it... any suggestions either from a list or from the current interests I portrayed.
