how would you react if your best friend asked you to do this?

a couple of months ago I asked my best friend to do something for me on my birthday. I have had this problem for a long time, all my birthdays chronically went really bad, it has been happening for more than 7 years, so I decided to do something about this. I do enjoy spending time with my best friend and whatever happens when I spend my time with him its just splendid, so I asked him to spend a whole day (24 hours) with me on that day, I had a list of things that I wanted to do to make my day just wonderful. when I asked him to do that he said ok, but he said that he found it weird. well he thinks that what I am asking is not normal, that its a bit gay. but the thing is that he knows 100% that I am not gay, and he knows that he is the closest person to me and my Love towards him nothing more than true friendship or brotherhood love. So I just wanted to know whether its only him that fins it abnormal or others would react that way too. please be honest and give some explanations to your answers
