How (without using Tweak XP) can I set my desktop icons to a list view (names on the right) with small icons?

I'm tired of the icons cluttering up my desktop space. I know how to make the icons smaller, but I want to see them as a list (and not the pop-up menu in the taskbar). I had been using TweakXP Pro, but my trial is almost over and the app has to stay running to keep the icons in list form. I really like having the small icons and the titles to the right. I know it can be done.

1. Yes your right it can be done. But all I know is use TweakXP.
2. Microsoft offers a free power toy called Tweak UI. I haven't used it for a while but it used to have an application that would resize the desktop icons and list them. You might want to check it out. If it doesn't help, you can always uninstall it from the add/remove progams applet (start > control panel > add/remove).
