Can you help me make a list of some makeup basics?

Hi, I really want to update my makeup closet because pretty much all I have is lip gloss, which at the time I haven't used for the longest time!! So I've been going natural for months! I really need your help sooo bad! Can you guys please help me put together a list of makeup that I should get, include everything even though you might think I don't need it, I'll just cross it off of my actual list. Here is what I have, and please be as specific as I am in the colors and tones. - light, neutral, glossy pink I need the whole page to be filled and this is all I've got!! Can you guys please give me ideas on other things that I could do. And can you put it in list form so it is easier for me to list and see. Remember, best answer gets 10 points! :D Chloe

  1. are you looking for other types of make up too? well if you are here are some things i use: -Loreal Bare Naturale mineral make up (its like a powder foundation, and it comes in many different shades to fit your tone. i use "Soft Ivory" -MAX Factor has amazing eyeshadows that are really pretty. i've got some pink, purple and light green eyeshadow by them. also, Maybelline New York eyeshadow works too. i use the light colored eyeshadow by them when trying to go natural. -Cover Girl is my favorite eyeliner. i use the CG Perfect Point Plus eyeliner. its like a pen, so you hardly ever mess up. -Maybelline New York also has pretty good mascara. i use the kind in the green tube :P -Victorias Secret also carries alot of great make up products. i have some liquid liner by their make up brand 'Beauty Rush'. i have 2 shades. silver and brown. it glitters(: Victorias Secret also has amazing glosses and lip sticks. my favorite gloss EVER is my Beauty Rush "candy baby" lip gloss. it tastes amazing :) hope i helped.
  2. foundation, translucent powder, chapstick, concealer, eyeshadow, lipstick, mascara, eyeliner, maybe blush? go to the mall and get some more suggestions from a makeup specialist there. they will try some shades on u. try clique or mac
  3. .Black penil eyeleiner .Clear mascarra .black mascarra .conceler
  4. do you mean like foundation, eyeliner, mascara, shadow, bronzer, blush, gloss, coverup?
  5. Get some light powder foundation, like natural minerals that don't look too dark on your skin, just give you a natural looking tan. Maybe some light brown/light pink blusher, light brown always brings out your cheekbones, and keeps you looking natural. I personally think the best mascara to use is Maxfactor false lash effect because the brush doesn't make your eyelashes clumpy, just thin and very long. I don't know if this is what your looking for, but I thought what the hell may aswel give it a shot :).
  6. If you are trying to make your make up look natural there are some basics to eye makeup. If you have brown eyes then you should wear blue eyeshadow and if you have blue eyes then you should wear brown eyeshadow. If you have green eyes you should go for a goldish brownish color. As far as eyeliner goes if you want it to look natural then you should always go with pencil eyeliner on the bottom of your eye and liquid eyeliner at the top of your eye. Never put liquid eyeliner at the bottom of your eye. Also just to warn you liquid eyeliner is incredibly hard to put on. It will probably take a lot of practice. If you want to see what looks really good on you, you can go to a clinique counter in a mall or store. I hope that I could help.
  7. Mascara Powder Eyeliner Eyeshadow (Just get a whole palette from Mac or Sephora and you'll have all the colors) Lip Gloss Lip Stick (If you feel like looking sophisticated) Lip liner Bronzer/ Blush (For everything up there you need professional brushes or it'll never come out good. Go to Sephora and they have whole kits for everything.)
  8. foundation ( or if that's to un natural concealer) blusher mascara lip gloss eyeliner (might make you look more un natural though)
  9. Im Chloe too!!! Ok i don't know the color of your skin tone so, i cant help you on what shades to get, but you will need some concealer, powder, blush, mascara, eyeshadow, my favorite mascara is the 2000 calorie mascara by Max Factor in rich black. I also use Revlon Colorstay, its oil free, which is good for your pores, as well as Revlon colorstay pressed powder. I use Covergirl cheeckers blush. Many eye shadows are very pretty just chose which you like best, that compliments your skin tone, and eye color. Lip gloss, the same way, just whatever you like. You may also want to buy some makeup brushes for applying the makeup, and an eyelash curler. I really hope this helped!!! :)
  10. Okay well depending on the color of your eyes either brown or black eye liner, actually I have both and I have green eyes so you should get both too. You may want a little blush if you have a pale complexion. Also concealer is something that is very good to have on hand. I use Matte Mouse (not really sure how it's spelled) sorry, but it works very well. you may want foundation. I actually never use foundation but you might. Eye shadow is fun to have especially a lot of different colors, black is important for doing a smokey eye. Also all the different colors are good for whatever colors that your wearing of the day. Well it's not make up but it's good to have some acne products on hand such as Clean and Clear Advantage Acne Spot Treatment. Also you should have make up remover with you, or i use baby oil because it also prevents wrinkles. I enjoy having liquid eye liner, and you may want a moisturizer. Good luck shopping
  11. 12. You say natural like it's a bad thing! You can go natural and use make up, remember that. First things first with me, and that's definitely a moisturizer. I use Olay Daily Moisturizer, which I love because it has spf 15, and it doesn't clog my pores :). Generally my rule of thumb is if you don't need to use foundation then don't, because it's heavy, and clogs your pores, so I use loose powder which goes over your skin and makes it look more natural and finished. Next I use concealer for under the eye circles, and for cover up for acne. Next I use a bronzer to give me a slight glow, but definitely watch how much you use because you can quickly go from glowing to orange real fast. One thing I would definitely invest in is an eyelash curler. I like to curl my eyelashes and then apply mascara to make them look fuller and longer :) That's my basic beauty routine, but when I'm trying to look a little extra special I use blush, and eye liner. I like having a black, and a brown eyeliner at all times because both colors go with pretty much everything I own. To spice things up a little I sometimes wear a turquoise eye liner with a black shirt, something that highlights my eyes, but doesn't over do it. Another great thing to own is eye shadows. Although I don't consider myself a heavy make up wearer, I LOVE eyeshadow, and I have many. I would advise you to get a set of eyeshadow colors that you use the most, for me that's usually brown, or purples. It's great to have lots of eyeliner and eye shadows so you can mix and match your looks with your outfits :) I think that's pretty much it, but if you need any more help don't hesitate to email me at eshanny013@yahoo.com =]
  13. ok because i don't know your skin tone i will give you what i use just adjust the colors to what will work for you(im very fair) foundation(pick the one that's close to you skin color) eyeshadow(try to pick on that makes you eye color stand out or what looks best on you) eyeliner(i would say black but that might look to harsh on some people) blush(try light pink i heard that looks good on everyone) powder foundation(put it on after all the makeup it helps keep it on) mascara(it comes in alot of colors but try black first) hope i helped!!!!
  14. hm, alright lets see :D you should get some mascara first :] -lengthening mascara from wet n wild brand works great -greatlash mascara (pink and green tube) works good, -idk if you do but i wear fake eyelashes sometimes for days when im in a rush, ha -maybe an eyelash curler? on to eyeliner, if youre still going for a natural look, you could try some browns or natural shades like medium soft brown or warmer tones. if you want black and color stay, i recommend liquid. it takes some getting used to but it stays all day. maybelline has good liquid eyeliners. i have blackest black ocean blue and electric blue eyeshadows i recommend loreal hip if your looking for a lower price range. they have really good eyeshadow colors. if price doesnt matter, go to MAC they have amazing colors in eyeshadow and eyeliners. some eyeshadows i have from loreal hip are dazzling blue hot pink soft brown and shocking turquoise covergirl also has good eyeshadow :] for blush i recommend revlon. i have a soft pink babydoll blush from there and it stays on all day. when youre looking for foundation, the best are mineral products from AVON, they also have mineral eyeshadows and blush and powders. if you cant buy AVON try physician's formula brand. they have products in ULTA. i recommend going to ULTA for your makeup. some of their stuff is high priced but they have deals sometimes. avon has an amazing selection of lip glosses, bath and body works in the mall has a good selection too, and you can try them on :D haha so yeah you can check some websites of the places i listed to make your decisions on whether to make the trip there or not, http://www.ulta.com/ulta/ http://avon.com/ http://www.bathandbodyworks.com/home/index.jsp http://www.maccosmetics.com/ i hope this helped you :3
  15. Hi, I take cosmetology, and I can really help you in this area and would love to because i am a fan of your answers :) BUT the problem is that you didnt give us your hair color skin tone or eye color that makes a huge difference in the makeup world! I suggest re-asking the question with those things included and I promise to answer :)
  16. I was really going to type a long, extensive thing here... but then I realized that without knowing about your face shape, skin tone, skin complexion, stuff like that... I can't go into specifics like you want. If you had included a picture this would be possible. Makeup is meant to enhance the natural features of the face, so the same look is clearly not going to work for everyone. These are the things that a makeup artist considers: Skin tone- Are you super pale? Super tan? Freckled? A natural blusher? Yellowish? Grayish? Complexion- Do you have perfect skin? Wide pores? Freckles? Red splotches? Mild acne? Sever acne? Oily skin? Eye shape- Do you have round eyes? Oval eyes? Deep set eyes? No under-eye circles? Dark under-eye circles? Something in between? Short eyelashes? Long eyelashes? And what about eye color? Face shape- How prominent are your cheekbones? How high set are they? Do you have heavy eyebrows? Thinner eyebrows? No eyebrows at all? Lips- Are they full? Small? Naturally pink? Naturally dark? Naturally gray? Naturally skin colored? Without a picture, determining these things would be very, very difficult. I'd love to help you, but I don't think I can.
  17. Hi, you may want to add your age that would help but I'm 14 im assuming you are around my age. Here is a list: ~foundation ~conceler ~blush ~bronzer ~mascara ~eyeliner ~eyeshadow (natural! and neutral!!) I use the makeup company Bare Escentuals! I Love it! It is also Bare Minerals, that is just the complextion and foundation part of the company. It is 100% natural. Beware of other "pure mineral makeups" that claim to be all natural because bare minerals is the real deal it was first all the other companies just tryed to copy it and it's the only company that actually is all pure. (some knock offs are bare naturale, pur minerals, soo on, ect.)So I get all my products from there besides my mascara, for mascara I use covergirl lashblast and I love it! But there is also now a fantastic lash blast! I bet that works even better I'm thinking abou trying it! At bare escentuals conceler is called bisque and right now if you order the get started kit, then you get FREE bisque and FREE shipping! They sell bare escentuals at some stores just look at the top and click on, where to shop. Also, bare minerals was voted foundation of the year! Jst thought I'd throw that in, haha. ;) Good Luck, hopefully I helped you out a little! 18. Im not going to suggest what brands cos i dnt really know your price range but i will tell you what to get =P x. If your skin isnt very bad, i reccomend you get a tinted moisturiser. If you feel like you need more cover up, get an oil free foundation. I really like oil free foundations because it gives you quite good coverage with out looking like you have got makeup on which make other people think you have got naturally good skin (which is a really good thing!) (You really need yo include what colour skin, eyes and hair you have got because its hard to tell you what shades to get with out knowing those details. Including a picture of yourself would be even better! x) If you havnt been wearing makeup for a long time, i would reccomend that u slowly build it up as it can look a little weird if you just suddenly come in one day with a full face of makeup so for your eyes,i would use a little eyeliner, (either top or bottom, not both otherwise this makes your eyes look small) and curl your eyelashes with an eyelash curler then apply mascara. That will look really nice =P x =] For an everyday look for youe lips, I would just say vaseline because it conditions your lips while giving them a nice shine! x If you want colour, go for a shade that is near your natural lip shade. Sorry its a bit long and i hope i helped :-] x
