how do you create individual links to each entry of your blog?

my friend told me that there was a way to click something like "heres my blog!" and then you could see individual links for each one. i tried this...and it just showed my blogs in list form what can i do? if you dont understand ill try to elaborate. and i dont mean the normal blog links...i mean when you click on something and you get to pick an individual blog. thanks!
