Where do i click on to update my ipod after i dragged the songs into the library list?

i cant seem to find button that does this!help!

1. When you connect your ipod to the usb itunes should automatically open up and if there are any updates it should automatically update. If itunes doesn't automatically open up when you connect your ipod open it up and it should recognise your ipod and update automatically
2. When you have your iPod connected click on the iPod icon in iTunes and in the Summary tab check the "sync only checked songs and videos" box is ticked.
