Why should they be rewarded for illegally coming to this country?

first of all, they broke the law by entering the USA illegally. That is why they are called illegal. It is not fair to the people that did enter the country in the proper method. By getting immigration visas.
-There are not even enough jobs to satisfy the residents living there right now. -It gives the sense that sneaking into American illegaly is alright -Not following the laws of the land. If this person gets to evade the law, why can't I steal? -Aliens who want to become residents should have to have some basic skills, such as knowing how to speak and write english, and maybe do basic math.
Cause they broke the law. And it would basically be a big middle finger to all those trying to enter legally.

Because it would encourage further illegal immigration. Think about it as someone who wants to come to the USA. You can go through the legal process, or you can just come here and wait for the next amnesty. Which will most choose? We do need laws to decide who comes to live in our country. You can’t just ignore those laws. We do need streamline the process to come in legally.

The idea is terrifying since it means that they'll take my job, because they're harder workers and if they're legal, then employers will have to pay them equally. Which would really suck since employers should have the right to practically enslave people and make sickeningly large amounts of money off of someone else's misfortune. :) Sorry, couldn't resist throwing in my two cents. :P
First of all, it is unfair to the tens of thousands; no hundreds of thousands of potential legal immigrants from all over the world waiting patiently for permission to come here. Each illegal who is made legal displaces a potential legal immigrant from somewhere else. Why should those who broke the law in coming here be allowed to jump the queue, thereby denying these other people their chance at the American Dream. Secondly, and in relation to above, legal immigrants are inspected by our embassies in their home countries to make sure potential legal immigrants and both morally and physically sound. There is no such vetting process for illegals. G-d only knows what diseases and criminal histories they bring with them.
Because it would be a slap in the face of every American citizen and every immigrant who came here legally!! We have laws in this country that should be obeyed and followed. By just granting them legal status they are circumventing the entire process! Why should illegals just be giving legal status and other immigrants who want to come here have to go through the legal process?? Imagine if you were standing in a line (at the movies, or grocery store) and all of a sudden numerous people cut in front of you. Same principal applies!! Illegals are knowingly breaking the law and do not respect America, American citizens or the American way of life. They do not even try to become citizens; just demand that laws be changed just to suit their own selfish needs. Then call people who oppose them as "racist" or criticize states like Arizona just for upholding the laws!! They have increased crime rates in the US, put a financial burden on our schools and hospitals, hurt the economy, take away jobs. The list goes on and on!!
They don't pay taxes. They raise the crime rate. They steal American's already low amount of jobs. They can not speak English. If you want to be an American, be one. That means get legal, pay your dues to the country like everyone else. All of us came over here as an Immigrant at one time, but we did it the right way. Illegals shouldn't try to mooch off of something great until it falls apart.
They broke the law coming here and they'll continue breaking our laws and cry racism when charged with any crimes. They have downgraded neighborhoods, exploited our programs to help Americans, stolen identities, lowered wages on job markets, drive without insurance, commit terrible crimes, border hop back and forth, bring drugs into our country, and have destroyed our health care system, just to name a few.
They crossed the border illegally, making them criminals; there are other crimes associated with them being here illegally, ie identity theft They have abused our resources- collecting welfare (their anchor babies qualify for welfare); using our hospitals without paying the bills (the emergency rooms can't deny anyone treatment); crowding our schools and burdening tax payers further with their need for ESL classes; They don't want to assimilate. They don't learn English, they wave their home country's flags and even expect our public schools to observe their independence day! There's too many reasons to list, but you get the picture.
They broke the law, and no one should be rewarded for that. Social services and educational institutions all over the country are feeling the strain from both legal and illegal immigration. It is America's poor who suffer the most from the illegals, and allowing illegals is unfair to legal immigrants. Illegals don't even pay enough taxes into the services they use. There aren't even enough jobs right now for American citizens yet there are people arguing to make 10 million or more illegal aliens American citizens. Give me a break!

In the 17th and 18th centuries when America was being settled, the people in this land were brought together by a commonality of purpose, this purpose was to financially better themselves. This motive is offered as the same reason illegal aliens, primarily from Mexico, come into this country. However, there exists a great contrast between the illegals’ method and the methods of the original settlers. The original people came as settlers, explorers, hunters, trappers, farmers and the like. They came welcomed because they had the courage, skills and strength and were a breed of sturdy people who were willing to take the risks. In the beginning, due to a shortage of currency, their principal means of trade involved barter. This method of exchanging wealth lasted for many years. On top of this the goods of barter and trade were not easy to come by. Accruing the necessary goods to be successful to exchange for currency involved many months of trapping and hunting and hard work. Apparently many present day progressive Americans do not understand this. Now we have illegals coming to America in droves. They come because their countries are not able to provide, for them the economic environment necessary to purchase the niceties seen across the border in America. This is not America’s fault! There are two basic classes of people in Mexico; the rich or ruling class, and the working class. No matter what is heard from the south, Mexico is not a “Share the Wealth’ country. Mexico is not now, nor has it ever been a friend of America, and counter to some politicians claim, they are not of sufficient benefit to America to allow them special status as a resident. They are criminals and need to be treated accordingly. Our sitting narcissistic president is aware of this, but he is continuing to allow these political vagrants to come into this country with the hope that somehow they can benefit him politically and personally, and to hell with the American majority. There is no valid reason to let these political vagabonds or vagrants into America in the numbers they want to come. We do not need 50,000,000 or even 10,000,000 illegals in America to harvest crops or do other tasks. There is a provision to allow a sufficient quantity of legal immigrants into America for that purpose. It is called the guest worker program, and they can come from any country, and when their work is done they go home. The rest should be deported and our southern border sealed, tightly sealed. Do not let the tears fool you. The illegals or their anchor children do not deserve the American dream. This dream is for legal citizens and not surplus unfortunates from other countries. It is time the true Americans among us take a lesson from history and establish a common purpose of ridding ourselves of the prince of fools in the White House; then marching toward the ultimate goal of controlling our borders, and reducing the size of the horde of unwelcome intruders already here.
There are too many of them. If there were 500,000 it would be ok but there are 11-20 million. They are destroying the country economicaly by draining welfare and keeping americans out of work. If legalised they will cost the country 2.7 trillion dollars (heritage foundation) so why bother. And of course there will be no amnesty they are learning how politics works.

Gang related ( go to chicago and look at the mexican tags ) this is not including the burden they put on us with free education, free medical, free food stamp and welfare assistance. If 20 million illegals are given amnesty, what will it do to our social security? they will all qualify and never had put a cent into it. amnesty will do nothing more than give millions more from the south swarming to get across. look reagan proved amnesty does not work, deport them all, close our borders and put military bases on all our borders. that would be true HOMELAND SECURITY!
If you reward criminals for commiting crimes, they will keep doing it.
