how to block someone from calling/texting your cell phone?

I've recently had a problem with someone calling my phone and texting me non stop and No matter what i do they wont stop. How can i solve this problem? I have a call 'reject' list on my phone but all that does is stop the calling, they can still text. I dont want to change my number I just want to get them to stop. Do i have to call my service provider or is there a way to do it online on their website. I have at&t HELP PLEASE

1. One way would be to call AT&T and ask them to block the number. I know that they have a service to block numbers. That would be your best bet. Or check on their website.
