Can I mail out postcards?

I have a small homemade business. I'd like to mail out postcards advertising my business. Is it legal to do so? I mean this would be random strangers in my zip code. I don't know how to get a targeted mailing list.

1. Yes it's legal. You should talk to the post office to find out about bulk rate mail, third class. The rates are far cheaper that first class mail.
