public online homeschooling preference?

hi there! Ok so, i'm in my second semester of the 10th grade, and am serious about switching into homeschooling very soon now. ive been doing some research and have been writing down my preferences for what type of online homeschool or "charter" school i want to enroll in, and i was wondering if anyone knew of a school that's very similar to my prefrences? See, i'd really like it to be very relaxed experience, i want to do it very independantly. my mom works as a teacher each day so.. you know. she wouldn't be here to help, which is fine because again, i like to be independant when it comes to these things. like, i want a homeschool online where everything is pretty much online. (test, quizzes, homework, classwork, reading) i wouldnt mind having to do a few printable worksheets on paper, but then i dont know yet how they would keep track of you doing the worksheets or hands on work... But i really do not want any interacting between a teacher, i just like feeling on my own when i learn, i mean besides having the computer to help me. you know? lol sorry if all my explaining is a little complicated to understand.. but really, i just want to simply be able to Log on, or something, to my program, click on my lesson for the day, click through my lesson, be assigned some work, have a quiz, maybe do another lesson, and be done with that subject for the day. when it comes to the idea of having to use a textbook i kind of cringe.. but as long as i feel relaxed, and i can do my lessons at any time of the day i'd like to, then id really enjoy that. so if there's such an online school like this, then list me some! PS. i live in the state of california, and the school would need to be a free one oh! and thanks in advance, i really appreciate any help :)

  1. Have you considered unschool? It's a lot more fun an educational than an online "workbook". Add some creativity and self-direction to you educational plan. It's a lot of fun, if you work at it. It's worth the trouble, if you make the effort.
