Swollen lymph nodes after getting the flu shot?

I got the flu shot 2 days again and yesterday I noticed a small painful lymph node in my armpit in the same arm that I got the shot. Then today I noticed another one in the same armpit that is also painful. Could the flu shot have caused this? I have found a few articles online about people who have had the same thing after getting the flu shot, but no medical articles list it as a side effect from the shot. Please help!

  1. The point of getting a vaccination is to get your body to build its immune response to the disease carried in the vaccine. Make sure that you drink plenty of water. Eat a healthy diet and get plenty of rest while your body builds its immunity. The reaction to shots can vary a lot between people. If the glands don't improve in a week or so, call your doctor. If they get worse or you have worse symptoms, call the doctor sooner. Some individuals can become very ill from flu shots. My mother got pneumonia twice from reactions before she refused to get the vaccine any more. Some people may do lots better with nasal administration.
