- i dnt agree with the person above me. its the first month of baseball. dont be too sure about cliff lee and some other guys. fausto carmona isn't even that good. Where is Felix Hernandez on here? or Lincecum who i think is a top 10 pitcher now.

- These are all based off of what they have done so far this year. I don't doubt that there are possibly better pitchers out there that haven't quite shown all that they have this year, but this is what I could come up with... 10. Zach Grienke (KC)- Amazing 1.47 era, notching decisive wins against Seattle, the Yankees, and Detroit 9. Ben Sheets (MIL)- 2.29 era and 4 wins in 6 starts under a Brewers team that has had a rough start compared to last year 8. Joe Saunders (LAA)- 6-0 with help from the Angel's offense. Though a solid era (2.61) the 21 SO's to 10 BB is not as impressive. 7. Tim Lincecum (SNF)- 4-1 with 45 SO's in only 42.1 innings, not to mention an era so far of 1.49. Four wins in 6 starts is a big accomplishment when you play for a team that has scored only 106 runs so far this year, the worst in Major Leagues. 6. Edison Volquez (CIN)- 42 SO's in 35.1 innings, the second lowest era in MLB (1.27), and a 4-1 record, which accounts for a third of his teams... 5. Jake Peavy (SND)- has always been an ace, his 4-1 start with 46 SO's (second only to Santana) with a 2.22 era despite the Padres .375 win percentage so far this year 4. Cliff Lee (CLE)- 0.96 era, 5-0, 16:1 strikeout to walk ratio... need I say more? 3. Johan Santana (NYM)- even though his wins column is not impressive he leads the league in SO's with 47 and is posting a 2.91 era...his wins will come when his team starts giving him the run support he deserves, which is even lower right now than when he was with Minnesota 2. Chien-Ming Wang (NYY)- impressive 6-0 start with a 3.00 era even with a Yankees team lingering around 500 1. Brandon Webb (ARI)- no doubt that he is dominating pitching this season, just look at the stats
