Spiritually speaking, would you want the global, unified language of humans to be Chinese, Spanish, or English?
Those are the top 3 most popular in the world, in that order. I'm thinking with this whole internet business as a first step into the era of technology and information, humans will be able to communicate with each other sans the language barriers soon. Do you think so too?

- I think German would be a better choice myself. But if I had to pick from those three I would hope Spanish or English because there's no hope of me every mastering Chinese.
- I think the internet is making it easy for us to communicate in one language.
- I'll go with Spanish or English. Chinese would be way too hard for my small brain. or Russian, since I speak that fluently already.
- I want everyone to have their own unique language... why? Because it makes it easier to pick up chicks. Accents are apparently "sexy".
- English. I would have to learn the others, and I already know English. Also, English is already the most widespread language in use. More people may know Chinese (actually, there are several different Chinese languages), but most of them live in China. Also, more people who learned another language as a child learn English as a second language than is the case for Chinese. As to Spanish, it is probable that a substantial portion of those who know Spanish know English as well, whichever one was their native tongue.
- English. Although Chinese is a pictorial language.
- It would certainly be English. People all over the world are learning English----it's considered the universal language now. In heaven, those we will have a heavenly language, not the same as here. Jesus is Lord! and he's alive!!!
- maybe... if jobs requires these languages.... and mostly they require you to speak chinese especially in asia... more languages much better..
- I would prefer it to be Arabic, though I am not an Arab. I am Muslim. Arabic is the language of Al-Quran which can unified all Muslims over the world.
- Can you tell us why, (like so many others), you couldn't be bothered to find the right section for your question. Just because you put Spiritually speaking in doesn't make it a religious question.
- English is already the only language allowable in air traffic control, irrespective of nationality - so why not extend that into everyday communication, if you think that a common language is needed ?
- Esperanto. A language so easy you could probably become fluent in it in like 6 months. Teach the kids that and then teach them at least one other language, by normal early childhood exposure, so that the languages (and ways of thinking they reflect) all survive.
- Not Spanish. The nouns have genders which is a Babylonian grammatical hangover from when all things were acknowledged to be by the grace of some god or other and each of the nouns and articles had to reflect their respective celestial benefactors. English has transcended such nonsensical superstition by a process of linguistic evolution. English is, quite simply, better than Spanish as a language - and every other language still engendering nouns I don't no nuffin bout Chinese sept there's no such language (just like there's no such language as American). What's commonly called 'Chinese' is actually something called (in English) 'Mandarin'. English it is, then. It's better than Spanish and Chinese doesn't exist, anyway.
- Chinese because it is deliciously nuanced and complex. Impossible for most of us to learn who aren't already fluent in the language but I think that one day capitalism will fail miserably and we'll be swallowed up by China.
