10 years from now, will New York City still be the financial capital of the world?

NYC real estate values, its high-end shops, top restaurants, and all the other service-oriented businesses are betting that New York City will remain a global financial center. If you don't believe that to be true, these businesses will be sorely affected over time, and the desireable Big Apple as we now know it, could be a very different place. What's your view?

1. London is actually the financial capital of the world, not New York. (One of many articles about this is below.) That said, don't cry for the NY businesses, they'll do just fine. The city is only getting better. Fear not.
