1. The Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon is a great mix of romance, adventure, and historical fiction. The first three books are set in Scotland and later books in colonial America. Definitely read in order, as characters and plots build. Start with Outlander and enjoy!

3. I have only read one romance novel that didn't suck out loud. Henry Fielding's History of Tom Jones. You should add that one!
4. Diana Palmer - I too love the Soldiers of Fortune series Nora Roberts - Calhoun Women and definitely the McKade Brothers! Also, I would add Robyn Carr's trilogy - loved it!
