- Go to www.theknot.com, lots of help on there to plan your wedding but don't feel you need to pay attention to everything they say, just take what works for you - they are part of the wedding industry afterall and just want your money at the end of the day! :-)
- you need to register at your registry office ASAP unless you are getting married in a church. Work out how many people you want there Choose Bridesmaids/Best man Book a venue Send invites Book a band or a DJ Choose decorations unless the venue will do that for you Buy a dress and buy or arrange hire of suits Think about transport But rings Get someone to organise hen and stag events that's the most important stuff I think, check hitched.co.uk or confetti.com they have useful checklists have fun!
- Work out your budget first!!! Do not go into debt for your wedding. Pick your attendants. Work up an tentative guest list. Pick a date and venue. Work with your intended to figure out what are your must haves at the wedding. Keep working on that budget.
- haha i was exactly the same!!! i bought a wedding planner and now im completely organised with 5 months to go!!!
- I could give you a list, and it'd have the typical things on there, but it's the things you don't remember to list that always gety ou when you least expect it. The big thing is, make sure you have food, alcohol, and a good dj and location. My party was a blast despite the little things that didn't get done, and i accredite it to the good dj and open bar:) Have fun.
- Look on wedding planning websites...my favorite list is at wedding wire, you have to sign-up for the website, but its completely free and totally worth it! http://www.weddingwire.com/wedding-checklists.html
