What are some good sites for interesting news/articles/lists?

Not necessarily news like politics and such, but more random and interesting things that you wouldn't hear elsewhere. I found a site last night(2leep) that linked to some interesting sites but it has some content that can be pretty crude and links up to some questionable sites. The thing I think that made 2leep interesting was that it linked bloggers and could show a wide range of things from different websites, but that was also what turned me off because of some of the content of the sites. So something like that even, that could be sort of like a core to show you a wide range of stories around the web would be cool, but preferably something that isn't so crude. Wow that kinda went longer than I intended but thanks to anyone that can help! Hope this made sense!

1. I totally understand how things out there are horrible and crude. I'm going to toot my own horn and say I just started a blog and it's pretty awesome. :) It's clean, respectable, and fun. http://giftoflifeforhope.blogspot.com
