How to find the correct oncologist and surgeon?
I know the basic answer is to ask others, but i know few people where I live. Are there any good sources to find how people feel about their doctors in their areas? I found one site called Angie's list that may help, but like to find another.

- Great question because I believe that once you have your team together it is one you need to have complete confidence in so that you know that what you are doing is the best treatment for survival. In our city there is a local magazine that lists the best 300 doctor's in the area for various treatments. I would check to see if your city lists their best doctors for their specialties. Our oncologist for breast cancer and radiation oncologist was listed in that magazine. Also ask around which oncologists are the best. Ask your regular doctor who would they see if they had the type of cancer you are fighting. Which clinic is the best clinic in your area and how convenient is it to your location. Be sure your surgeon if possible specializes in the type of cancer you are fighting. I have heard horror stories of patients getting a mastectomy and the surgeon did not get it all. Our surgeon only did breast cancer surgery, and he had 20 years experience doing it. Choose your team wisely, it will give you peace of mind concerning your treatment.
