  1. no, i guess..
  2. no if its true and you can prove it
  3. If it's true? No. If you made it up and wanted to hurt his business? Yes, you can.
  4. Anybody can sue. Is the suit valid? If you lied, yes.
  5. If he actually is a convicted felon, no. If he is not a convicted felon, you know that he is not a convicted felon, and you knowingly and maliciously lie about him, he absolutely can sue for you. For him to win, he has to prove what you said was a lie, you knew it was a lie, and you intentionally lied in order to hurt him.
  6. if he's not actually a convicted felon than yes, and he would win, but the truth is some 1 can sue you for ANYTHING, the only question is whether they will win or not
  7. I doubt it. I know you can get sued for slander or defamation of character, but that would only be if he's not what you're saying he is. But is it really worth reporting him? I can see if he's been convicted of rape, child molestation, violence, or theft. But if he got convicted for something stupid, then why bother trying to ruin his life more?
  8. You can't be successfully sued for reporting facts. But you had better be certain about it before doing so. And don't expect people to pat you on the back. It's not a nice thing to do, especially if the guy is trying to live an honest life.
  9. If it's true, what would he sue you for? It's not defamation if it's true. Just make sure you have the proof.
  10. Well, no s*** the owner of a construction company is a convicted felon. Most of those guys are tied up in the mob. This is news to you? If you want to out a convicted felon with ties to the mob, the least of your worries is going to be getting sued.
