I have a large list of e-mails that I want to format into an alphabetically ordered list, any ideas how to?
I can't figure a way to format them in alphabetical order other than manually doing it which could take months. They are are all in a word document which I copy and paste into a BCC line and send on. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I would think there would be a way to enter them somewhere and they could be auto formated by first letter or something!

- Copy/Paste them into Word or OpenOffice Writer (or any word processor that can do tables Highlight them all by pressing Ctrl + A Click:Table > Convert > Text To Table Choose "Paragraph" as the delimiter Click: OK Select the newly created Table (by pressing Ctrl + A) Click the "Alphabetize" button (If it's not in the toolbar, choose Table > Sort Choose Ascending or Descending (as you prefer) VoilĂ ! You're done.
- Copy/Paste them into an Excel file. Open the excel file, select the column your list is in. Click Data/Sort, select your column number, and ascending/descending Click OK. Boom! Sorted list.
- Excel (most computers have this program already on their computers) will alphabetize for you, you just enter the information into the columns or rows.
- put everything under the letter [A ] a friend - a father - a mother - a sister - a brother - a girlfriend - a wife - a lawyer - a doctor
- If you have MS Excel you can use Sort option and it will take just a second to do that. Make sure you use paste special as unicode text in excel. Best Of Luck!!
- You might consider saving this as a delimited file. The concept is this: Each email would be seperated by something (a hard return, space, etc.) I would probably find a way to change to a comma Save it as a CSV file and then open it in Excel, as a csv file. Once you do this, you can sort as a text field and it should alpha sort NP. Check out the source, as it explains the steps a lot better than I could.
