Female Singer. Late Nineties Early 2000's. Name and song title. PLEASE HELP!?

I don't know much, but she is blonde, she released a big hit in the late nineties early 2000's, she has a slightly husky tone, i do not believe she is an english speaker by birth pretty sure she has an accent. she doesn't sing anymore... or if she does she isn't incredibly famous anymore. please help me. i dont know the name of her song... I found the song and the name... turns out i had a song from something else she sung (anastasia song...) its Donna Lewis - I Love You Always Forever. Thanks so much for your help! :)

1. Duffy - Mercy Ideally we could help if you had any more clues, how old was she, what type of music did she sing, does she have more than one hit? There is quite a few english speaking singers around that time!!
2. Blonde 90's singers....hmmmmmmmmmmm.... Whigfield - Saturday Night , she's blonde, from Sweden, no husky voice though. 1 hit wonder. Ace of Base - All that she wants, more early 90's but one singer had long blonde hair. Geri Halliwell had some tunes out then, Awful. More clues please!!!
