  1. I'll make you a deal. Post one at a time and I'll answer all of them. ************** This is a serious answer. I'll take the time to answer every single one of them if you take more time than just cutting and pasting from some other idiots web site without even reading what you just posted.
  2. you are reading too much into this. And for the second question, the first verse you mentioned, the word REPENT isn't the right translation. You have to watch for that. What Bible do you use?
  3. I'll address them all in a single word - context. Sorry you had to work so hard. But there are no scriptural contradictions.
  4. Whoa !!! - I didn't know you read the Bible - just don't numb yourself with heavy dose of skepticism when you read it - now you need your first lesson in religion: the non Christian really has no logical alternative but to accept that Jesus is God: “I’m ready to accept Jesus as a great moral teacher, but I don’t accept his claim to be God.” That is the one thing we must not say. A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic-on a level with the man who says he is a poached egg-or else he would be the Devil of Hell. You must make your choice. Either this man was, and is, the Son of God; or else a madman or something worse. You can shut him up for a fool, you can spit at him and kill him as a demon; or you can fall at his feet and call him Lord and God. “ For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, Col 2:9 (NIV) Get ready for lesson no: 2 - as I said don't numb yourself with heavy dose of skepticism and do your homework will you !@!!
  5. Everyone is a sinner, except God. God doesn't change His mind. God never makes a mistake! Judas betrayed Jesus with a kiss. Yes, Jesus bore His cross. Though He did have help carrying it. Jesus went to paradise the moment He died. He appeared in His resurrected body when He appeared to the apostles and Mary. Judas hung himself and his body fell on rocks and burst open. Now, I'll give someone else a chance to finish this!
  6. Wow u really researched this! My belief is that the bible was written by men and not by god himself so should not be fully relied upon.
  7. a a a a a b a a a b d b a a b n a b b
  8. I won't go down that dusty trail. Here's why. You are obviously intelligent enough to know the answers to some of the alleged contradictions. And so, we must conclude, you enjoy believing in the alleged contradictions and wasting people's time debunking them one by one.
  9. Repenteth - Repentance implies grief of heart, and change of counsels, and therefore cannot be in God: but it is ascribed to God when God alters his method of dealing, and treats a person as if be did indeed repent of the kindness he had shewed him. 1Sa 15:11 It repenteth me that I have set up Saul - That is, I placed him on the throne; I intended, if he had been obedient, to have established his kingdom. He has been disobedient; I change my purpose, and the kingdom shall not be established in his family. This is what is meant by God’s repenting - changing a purpose according to conditions already laid down or mentally determined.
  10. The Bible is riddled with mistakes and Contradictions. I have found lots as well.
  11. This is exactly what satan does. He takes everything and tries to trick people into believing wrong things and tries to find errors in everything.

  13. Followers of many religions are at times blinded to such a point that they fail to apply logic or reason to their faith or beliefs. For example, Saint Thomas Aquinas, the most rational of Christian theologians, stopped the use of reason when it came to the basic fundamentals of Christian faith. He then tried to justify faith. So to ask "why Christianity?" is an illegitimate question. However, Allah invites the question as to "why Islam?"“We have certainly made clear to you the signs, if you will use reason.”3:118 Islam is a rational system which not only allows questions but raises knowledge to a new level of dignity and respect. No other religion has exalted knowledge and its pursuit, as has Islam. In fact, for the first time in human history, a religious book invited people to question the creation of the universe and stated that in it (the universe) were signs for people of understanding. ‘In the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the alternation of night and day, there are Signs for people of intelligence.’(The Final Testament,i.e.Quran,3:190-191) “He directs the whole affair. He makes the Signs clear so that hopefully you will be certain about the meeting with your Lord.”(13: 2) Everything in Islam is subject to rational pursuit. Islam is an intellectual and historical religion. There are no secrets and no mysteries which cannot be understood by an ordinary person. We should, therefore, refrain from forming particular ideology or opinion prior to witnessing clear evidence-just as Islam advises us. The Qur'an, this extraordinary book which was revealed to the Seal of the Prophets,Muhammad (peace and blessings of Almighty be upon him), is a source of inspiration and true knowledge. “Allah Himself is witness that there is no God save Him. And the angels and the men of learning too are witness…There is no God save Him, the Almighty, the Wise.”3:18.The book of Islam-no matter what subject it refers to-is being proved as Allah's Word as each new piece of historical, scientific or archaeological information comes to light. Facts about scientific subjects and the news delivered to us about the past and future, facts that no being could have known at the time of the Qur'an's revelation, are announced in its verses. It is impossible for this information to have been known with the level of knowledge and technology available in 7th century Arabia. With this in mind, may we allow our common sense to speak on behalf of us awhile? Could anyone in 7th century Arabia have known the atomic number every single element? Could anyone in 7th century Arabia have known that the word "Pharaoh" was only used from the 14th century B.C. and not before, as the Old Testament erroneously claims? “If the sea were ink for (writing) the Words of my Lord, surely the sea would be exhausted before the Words of my Lord would be finished, even if We brought (another sea) like it for its aid.”(Quran-18:109) Could anyone in 7th century Arabia have known the genetic code of many living organisms? Could anyone in 7th century Arabia have known that the universe is "steadily expanding," as the Qur'an puts it, when modern scientists have only in recent decades put forward the idea of the "Big Bang"? “And He shows you His signs. So, which of the signs of Allah do you deny?” 40:81 Could anyone in 7th century Arabia have known about black holes, Pulsars, the Rosette Nebula, sub-atomic particles, quantum physics, fossilization and iron content, the layers of Earth, the weight of clouds, the relativity of Time, the Force of Gravity, the Orbital Movements, the sun’s trajectory, the programming in genes, the sun’s hydrogen and helium content, or many other facts scientists of our day are only just beginning to discover? The only answer to these questions is thus: the Qur'an is the Word of the Almighty Creator, God. the Originator of everything and the One Who encompasses everything with His knowledge. In one verse, Allah says, "If it had been from other than Allah, they would have found many inconsistencies in it." (Qur'an, 4:82) Every piece of information the Glorious Qur'an contains reveals the secret miracles of this divine book. Indeed, there is hardly any verse in The Quran that does not contain great information about modern scientific discoveries. But we may never find all of them. It had taken 14 centuries for us to discover some of the facts that were present in The Quran 14 centuries ago. It may well take another 14 centuries to unravel all the facts in the Holy Quran. Our scientists can easily study the Quran if they want to invent modern gadgets or discover planets etc. Everything is written clearly, and much information is coded into numerals.
  14. Someone else hit it right on the head, CONTEXT -- so there's really no need to play this game. It is clear that you worked so hard to cut and paste from someone's website, which makes you look as ignorant as he. Most of the so-called contradictions are really issues of people 1. Not understanding that the Old Testament was written in Hebrew and the New Testament in Greek. 2. Not understanding the issues of first century Jewish, Greek and Roman culture, and that different writers were from different cultures. 3. Not looking at the entire passage -- picking verses out of context. So I will address two of the more common ones. You really need to do a lot more research before coming on here and getting egg all over your face because you don't know anything about the Bible and you clearly aren't really looking for truth. --- As for the different times when Christ was on the Cross. The Romans kept track of hours in a day one way, which was different from the way Jews did. Jewish day goes from Sunset to sunset. Furthermore, the gospel writers had different audiences. Some wrote to Jewish audiences, some wrote to Greeks and Gentiles. --- Another very very common so-called contradiction used by uneducated agnostics is the seemingly two different sets of Geneologies in the gospels. A person is considered Jewish if the Mother is Jewish and one set of Geneologies was a legal one, and the other one was a religious one. Another way of looking at this is the two weddings even today in much of Europe. One is legal -- in the eyes of the court, and the other is cultural or religious -- in the eyes of the family and the church. As for the statements on the cross -- some of the gospel writers were eyewitnesses, and one wasn't but talked to many who were. Just because one writer lists one thing last in his record of things said, it doesn't mean it was the last thing spoken chronologically. Furthermore, if every gospel writer had the identical testimony, it would be completely clear that there was forgery and copying. We would expect the same in any courtcase in the country. South Park and the Simpsons don't usually give you so much cultural and historical details to know these kinds of things.
  15. "Who was the father of Joseph, husband of Mary?" I've looked into this one. If I remember correctly, the genealogies are completely different between Joseph and David. It seemed very odd that one list could be so wrong. Judaism, as a race/culture, is passed through the mother, so one genealogy lists Mary's family line (using Joseph, because men have the penis, which is awesome). The other genealogy lists Joseph's line...for some reason. Anyway, that seemed reasonable enough for me to drop the issue.
  16. Does every man sin? When man is acting in accord with the Holy Spirit, he does not sin (In the moment he is with the Spirit). This does not mean that he cannot, has not, or will not sin again. Does God change his mind? "Repent" This is where we need to be scholars of Aramaic and Greek - the languages of Jesus and the Bible, before we start jumping to conclusions about imperfect translations. Metanoia is the word used in Greek which can be translated as "repent - to come back with conversion," and "to change one's mind." "Repent" in terms of conversion relates to sin. God has no sins to repent of "Metanoia" in terms of God saying, "hey, you messed up big time Saul - therefore, I'm "changing my mind" and taking kingship away from you" is another. Did Judas kiss Jesus? Just as in when one person is telling a story, there will be slight variations. John was actually there. But if you notice, when Jesus hands the morsel to Judas at the last supper, no one hears what Jesus actually says to Judas with the morsel nor do they understand what Jesus tells Judas to do afterward. Why not? They were right there? Because we don't always notice or hear everything. Now let's imagine John's perspective on things. Here's the man He loves most dearly who he clearly sees is in distress all night, and then a mob shows up. Probably a lot is going through his mind at the moment. Anyway... there still is no contradiction just because a detail is left out. Did Jesus bear his own cross? Simon helps Jesus bear the cross. And your point is? It says that in the other gospels as well. Again, variations on telling a story. "As they were going out...." It doesn't say how far they had gotten before getting Simon... again, also be weary of the wording of translations. Where was Jesus at the sixth hour on the day of the crucifixion? Matthew, Mark, and Luke's Gospels are the SYNOPTIC gospels. They use a different system of numbering the hours of the day than did John, who uses the Hebrew method. Again, this is a problem with modern day translations. Mark mentions the 3rd hour as being the crucifixion while John says the 6 hour as being with Pilate. - seems like a contradiction? Not so. With the different numbering systems, this places the crucifixion at about 3pm our time in all the gospels. Did Jesus ascend to Paradise the same day of the crucifixion? God is outside of time... God IS the past present and future. God's time is not our time. Who was the father of Joseph, husband of Mary? BOTH were his fathers... one was his legal guardian and one was his biological father.
  17. You are saying in a long, drawn out manner that the Bible has contradictions. This is a common objection that has been levelled at the Bible too many times to count. It has been answered just as often. As often as not, this objection is made by people who really have no clear idea of where these "errors" can be found, as they are merely passing along what they have heard from others. For those who are honestly seeking information on the alleged contradictions, there is a wealth of resources available to prove that there are no errors or contradictions within the text of the Bible. You can look up all of these questions yourself on the internet, or in your Bible, and find the answers to them.
