Public Comments

  1. they keep track of all kinds of info electronically and conpile a list of it and submit it via shredded paper. they sell newspapers, is this a more temporary book you decide?
  2. Yes, they can help you sell more books. Bragging rights for authors. How many times have you seen "best-selling author" by someone's name? They use that as a marketing tool. In a way they're equating best-selling with good. But, really, best selling just means lots of people are buying it more than other books. Also, authors might get more money if their book becomes a best seller. Many people are interested in this info because it tells you what most people are buying during a certain period of time.
  3. It's just a chart. It's of interest to the newspaper's readers to know what books are selling well, just like it's interesting to radio listeners to hear the music charts and know what songs and albums are selling well.
