Do we need a new top tax bracket for the millionaires and billionaires so they stop hiding behind?

small businesses who barely make $250,000 per year? Edit: What do questions about overseas bank accounts have to do with forming a new tax bracket that starts at $1,000,000 per year? Your excuse for why we should continue to allow the super-wealthy to be taxed at the same rate as the barely wealthy is because some rich people are good at hiding their incomes?!

1. What are you gonna do with the ones who don't make yearly incomes? Are you gonna track down their overseas bank accounts and tax their assets? Sounds a little tyrannical to me. RE: It has everything to do with it. Considering most live off their assets, not their income.
2. I'm surprised the billionaires don't sue the government for taxing the shit out of them and cause economic hardship for everyone else
3. Go ahead. They'll just move all of their wealth overseas so you'd end up getting even less taxes out of them regardless of how high of a rate you dump on them. How about instead we stop trying to treat wealth as some sort of demonic source of evil. Implement policies that encourage the generation of wealth so that then the reasonable tax rates will generate significantly more money than any high tax rate plans would. Increasing taxes doesn't increase tax revenue. Promoting economic expansion does.
4. I own a small business, Gross I make well over that. But it is the net after bills and business taxes that matters which in this economy runs about 10 to 12 percent. You guys fail to realize there are taxes and licensing fees a business pays that a regular tax payer never sees. Even though these are local it still comes out of my pocket. Herb.
5. I don't get it either... they talk about how Obama hurts small business all day long, and then turn around and do nothing but prop up the richest 2% in America. The icing on the cake is proposed cuts to medicare, education, college loans etc. Notice the lack of Tea Party people on Y!A praising republicans..... they are f*cking done in 2012.
6. Yeah.. let's punish everybody who makes something of themselves! How else are we supposed to get the money to pay for your free government handouts?
7. Hidden money can be found and huge fines should be levied if money is not accounted for. We have closed accounts for Bernie Madoff and Gaddafi easily enough. I believe the 250,000 needs to be raised to half a million, tho, which the Dems offered to the Republicans last year and they wouldn't even go with that.
