When people create top ten lists of the "World's Deadliest Animals," do they forget humans are animals too?

  3. From what I've seen, nature shows usually like to stick humans in there. The problem is that the novelty of self-reference is getting kind of old - people watch those shows to see scary creatures, not to hear political commentary.

  6. Humans have the ability to reason. Well, most of us do anyway. Animals act on instinct.
  7. Maybe that occurs to some of them. Lions and venomous snakes make for better discovery channel specials, though.
  8. Humans are only deadly with guns. Try beating a lion or a bear with a knife.
  9. Most humans are not deadly, ALL alligators are. Guess you didn't think that one through, huh?
  10. Your question illustrates just how effective the people behind western society's secularization have been. It doesn't take a Bible scholar OR a genius to know that human beings are distinctly different from the animal kingdom. No, we're not just "highly evolved animals." All it takes is a healthy dose of common sense and just a little bit of critical thought to know the difference-one of which is humans' capacity for that type of critical thinking.
  11. Please cite such a "top ten" list for us. I haven't seen such a list... EVER! However, the generally accepted definition is this one: 2 a : one of the lower animals as distinguished from human beings. It's bad enough our language is being contaminated and destroyed by people who think it's right to define words any way that is convenient for THEM rather than the generally accepted definition, then you have to come along and begin screwing things up even MORE! Can we PLEASE stick to the definitions that we have accepted for years and years now? 1. REPEAL the 16th Amendment!! 2.
