What does use copy lists with discrimination mean?

Hello everyone, I have got a question for you I saw this somewhere and I don't know what it means. But what does use copy lists with discrimination mean? Thank you for all the help.

1. It means "consider what you're doing before using the copy lists", or "don't use the copy lists too often". I'm not sure of the meaning of "copy lists" from that context.
